Puzzle Description

Bark's Books (G6273) is a 1000 piece puzzle by Linda Jane Smith. While the cats are lollygagging at the Mad Catter's Tea Party (G6259) the dogs are seriously catching up on the latest literature such as The Deano and the book of Meat. I expect the Deano is a play on the old British standby, The Beano starring Dennis the Menace and The Bash Street Kids. The Beano dates back to 1938 and is based on the US comic characters.

These charming canines appear no more involved in their pastime than do the cats. Still we should be charitable; they are trying. Woof, bones, Crufts and the Canterbury Tails are other popular titles and food items. How corny!

The book shelves will provide any puzzler with a real challenge as will the array of dogs none of whom look as though they could give a hoot about the fantastically famous guest who is signing his new best seller: Geoffrey Barker.

Linda Jane Smith is a real favourite with the Gibsons puzzle people and she has several puzzles of various sizes in the puzzle catalogue. All the dogs and cats (and mice) are of the most sought after breed: charming.
