Puzzle Description

I Love the Country - by Mike Jupp

1000 Piece Puzzles - 685mm x 490mm

Box Dimensions - 41cms x 29cms x 5cms

Mike Jupp is Gibsons most famous and long lasting artist found in their jigsaw puzzle catalogue. I Love the Country (G576) is a fairly recent addition and is instantly rercognisable as coming from the brush of Mike Jupp. It has to be said that I Love the Country is not quite as manic and jam packed as some of his other titles. Compare it to I Love Car Boot Sales. Now there is a fine example of just how crammed a Mke Jupp puzzle can get.

The action is centered around the local country pub, The Ale & Cider. Or is that what you can get there? Who knows? What is interesting is how did a sheep manage to find its way onto the thatched roof? There also app[ears to be a man of the cloth with a butterfly net in one hand and a bottle of booze in the other blithely prancing over the roof looking for some insects. A blackened chimney sweep emerges from the chimney victorious in his assault on the chimney's interior. By the look of him, that chimney hasn't had a good cleaning in probably a hundred years. Thatched roof buildings go back several centuries and require a specialist to repair them. Very few such specialists exist today, perhaps no more than two dozen in the entire UK. It looks as if the last specialist fell through the vestibule roof which appears to be the imminent fate of the new guy. So much for experienced professionals.

A shepherd in his traditional white smock is supposed to be in charge of his flock of sheep. Quite evidently he is not as the entire road system, despite the vocal efforts of an angry police presence, has ground to a complete halt. It looks as if wherever these is the slightest chance of someone climbing onto something, than that is taken advantage of. From the haystack to the red telephone booth someone is climbing. Who remembers those red telephone booths? They are now protected by the heritage law despite the phones inside no longer working.

The picture spreads out into distant fields all of which are busy with some activity taking place. If you look closely you can see a cricket match in progress. Look just behind the chimney sweep's head.

In the sky above you will see a display squadron of red Flying Arrows. They are up in the sky with gliders, balloons on fire and even some UFO's.

Good luck and have fun!

I Love the Country is made from 100% recycled premium puzzle board and can be made over and over again without any change in initial quality.
