Puzzle Description

I Love Boats (G591) - by Mike Jupp

1000 Piece Puzzles - 685mm x 490mm

Box Dimensions - 41 cms x 29 cms x 5cms

Mike Jupp has turned his awesome talents to the sea and is treating us to a chaotic compendium of aquatic fun. Small boats and large all vie for a piece of the sea lanes in this ridiculously tiny piece of liquid real estate. The pleasure craft are limited to where they can go by rough waters beyond the lighthouse and by the really serious ocean going vessels as can be seen in the background. On the left it looks as if one of the serious ships has come a little too close for comfort and is colliding with a smaller boat sending everyone flying. That would include the rather large lady and her air mattress. The lady on watch at the lighthouse is completely at a loss and wouldn't know what to do even if she weren't. The seagulls perching on the lighthouse railing don't seem to be bothered at all.

It's not hard to get into a complete jumble in this scene. Is that Noah's Ark on the right hand side. Now he really is lost. It all adds to the revealing secrets you can only see when you make the puzzle. There are even some Vikings in the background about to invade. They might want to think twice now that they have seen for themselves how the locals behave towards each other. How would they behave towards someone they don't like? Just to round out the historical range of sea adventurers, there's a galleon with pirates aboard. The pirates at least would be fondly remembered by the mob jostling for space. After all, what was Francis Drake but a glorified pirate willing to do the bidding of Queen Elizabeth the 1st. He would set sail and bring back all manner of booty. During the reign of Good Queen Bess sugar was introduced to the British diet. As we all know sugar is not good for your teeth. Queen Elizabeth suffered from terrible toothache and supposedly had a fine head full of black and rotten teeth.

As if there wasn't enough to tackle given the sun seekers and their toys , you can spot dolphins, seagulls, seals and even octopus some of which are of the giant variety and are grabbing some unwitting sailors from their boats for an early lunch.

From sailboats to small motorised pleasure craft, all types of vessels and their occupants have been brilliantly illustrated by Mike and the completion of I Love Boats will give hours of challenging fun and no small amount of satisfaction when complete.

I Love Boats is made from 100% recycled premium puzzle board and can be assembled time and time again without any ill effects.
