Marcello Corti's presence in the Gibsons puzzle catalogue is well established. He is primarily known as the painter of the annual Limited Edition 1000 piece Christmas puzzles. He designed the 1000 piece limited edition 2011 Christmas puzzle. Marcello has been broadening his range with puzzles such as Kitchen Capers G914 which has been a higly popular Gibsons puzzle for many years.

Marcello has now given us a classic upstairs-downstairs scenario in his brand new 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle entitled Treasures Within G6060. This opened up doll's house view of a well to do family set in the Victorian Era is composed of three floors. The lowest floor consists of a kitchen, pantry, cellar and vestibule showing us the domestic staff keeping the household running.

The middle floor has a drawing room where the guests are being entertained by a young lady at the piano or perhaps the harpsichord. There are also several guests enjoying a lavish meal in the main dining room: just look at that chandelier! The sommelier is situated in the wine cellar being put through his paces in choosing the appropriate wines for the meal.

The centre image is that of a red carpeted staircase with young people in finest gowns and evening wear rushing to set out for an evening's entertainment at the prince's seasonal ball.

Finally, the top floor is made up of two bedrooms, a well stocked library / office and a billiard room. It's quieter forms of entertainment for some. All the rooms are occupied with various duties and entertainments alike.
