Christmas Market - by Gale Pitt 500 Extra Large Piece Puzzle - 680mm x 485mm Box Dimensions - 410mm x 290mm x 50mm Gibsons have been rapidly expanding their range of 500 extra large (XL)piece jigsaw puzzles due to a growing demand for easier to handle jigsaw puzzle Pièces. In addition to the XL piece puzzles, Christmas season puzzles are also enjoying an increasing popularity amongst puzzle hobbyists. This Victorian era Christmas puzzle by Gail Pitt is an absolute delight. A bearded tradesman sits outside a toyshop window which is stuffed with glittering Christmas decorations. The tradesman's stalls are full of brightly painted wooden toys and dolls. From traditional wooden soldiers to a range of wonderful animals bound for Noah's Ark make up his gaily colored toys. Sitting opposite our jolly tradesman and his clay pipe is presumably his wife displaying her crop of winter vegetables. Her children gather close by warming themselves against the evening chill and she and the street vendor enjoy the early Christmas spirit. In the background another vendor has his case open to reveal small puppets made of cloth and wood which he manipulates to the delight the children gathered around. Despite the evening darkness, the snow covered square seems to be reflecting more than the moonlight in this season of lights. Carriages silently make their way through the snow covered streets full of happy Christmas shoppers preparing for the inevitable visit from Santa Claus. This 500 XL piece jigsaw puzzle from Gibsons is sure to become a classic for families young and old enjoying each other's company as they assemble the puzzle together over the Christmas holiday season.
