Bob Pettes' artistic talents were first discovered in grade school. He attended the Minneapolis Institute of Art before starting his carreer as a commercial artist and illustrator.

Bob has developped a very distinct Americana style in his paintings which proved to be very popular amongst major galleries and also with publishers and gift manufacturers. It was a holiday in Europe that inspired Bob to focus his work on the quaintness of village life in England, France and Switzerland.
