Alan Giana was born and grew up in Connecticut in the United States.

Alan's interest in painting developed from a very early age. Once through school and with a degree in graphic design, he started his own illustration and design company.

Variety has been the spice of Alan's life as an artist. His illustrations have appeared on book covers, magazines, children's games, music CD's and jigsaw puzzles. His works have been published in books and periodicals, accompanying articles on airbrush techniques and digital illustration.

Alan's inspiration is often drawn from his love of the sea and the country. His subjets are often rural hideaways and tranquil coastal waters; peaceful places where we can escape for a moment and appreciate the beauty around us.

Alan lives with his wife Pamela, in the town of Simsbury in Connecticut.
